Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi represents Illinois’s 8th District and is running for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Senator Dick Durbin. In Congress, he serves as Ranking Member of the Select Committee on China and sits on the Oversight and Intelligence Committees, focusing on national security, technology, and economic competitiveness. Before public service, he served as Illinois Deputy State Treasurer, led anti-corruption initiatives in the Attorney General’s office, and built successful technology ventures. Born in New Delhi and raised in Peoria, he earned a B.S. from Princeton University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
