2026 Election Stability Pledge
Seven Statewide Candidates Commit to Election Stability
Candidates from both parties have signed Leadership Now Arizona’s 2026 Election Stability Pledge, committing to uphold election laws, protect voters and election workers, and respect certified results.
With less than two weeks until Election Day, Leadership Now Arizona, a coalition of more than 150 cross-partisan senior business leaders, owners, and executives across the state, asked the Republican and Democratic nominees for statewide office to answer six straightforward questions with a simple YES or NO.
The goal is to establish, before ballots are cast, the standards Arizona’s business community expects of anyone entrusted with statewide office after the election is over.
The Six Commitments
- Follow the law. Follow Arizona’s election laws and established procedures, and refrain from knowingly spreading false information about the administration, security, or results of an election.
- Keep the peace. Promote a peaceful election environment before, during, and after Election Day, and denounce political violence, regardless of its source, target, or intended beneficiary.
- Protect the people who run elections. Denounce intimidation, harassment, threats, or violence directed at voters, candidates, election officials, election workers, or their families.
- Respect every eligible voter. Respect every eligible Arizona voter’s lawful right to register, cast a ballot, and have that ballot counted without interference, obstruction, or intimidation.
- Resolve disputes lawfully. Raise allegations of election irregularities through established legal processes, base public claims about election administration or results on substantiated evidence, and respect the final resolution of lawful election challenges.
- Accept certified results. Accept and publicly recognize the certified results of the 2026 election, regardless of whether your campaign or preferred candidates prevail, after all lawful recounts and election challenges have been resolved.
The commitments were informed by the Candidate Principles for Trusted Elections, developed by a bipartisan coalition of organizations and individuals focused on election integrity, nonviolence, security, oversight, and the peaceful transfer of power.

Why Business Leaders Asked
“Our businesses depend on stable institutions, predictable rules, and confidence in the rule of law, and prolonged election uncertainty puts that at risk. It’s encouraging to see candidates from both parties put these commitments on the record. But the real test comes after November 3, when they’ll need to show the same respect for the process they’re committing to today.”
Adam Goodman, President and CEO, Goodmans, and Co-Chair, Leadership Now Arizona
“Elections don’t end when the polls close, and in Arizona, we know that counting every eligible vote takes time. Candidates have an enormous responsibility to set the tone for what happens next. That means giving election officials the time and space to do their jobs, rejecting speculation and unsubstantiated claims, and reminding voters that a careful, lawful process is more important than a rushed result.”
John Fees, Co-Founder and CEO, GradGuard, and Co-Chair, Leadership Now Arizona
The pledge builds on Leadership Now Arizona’s broader work this cycle: engaging state and local election officials, convening business and civic leaders, and encouraging Arizona employers to support voter participation, respect lawful election procedures, and prepare for the period between Election Day and certification.
