Issue 1 backed by pro-business groups but justification lacking

Doug Buchanan, editor in chief of Columbus Business First, is telling Ohio voters he is voting “no” on Issue 1, a measure up for a vote on August 8 that proposes to raise the threshold for adopting constitutional amendments in the state to 60%. Citing Leadership Now Project organizing against the measure, he calls Issue 1 “a straw man for other political priorities at the Statehouse that have nothing to do with improving the business climate in Ohio.”
