Leadership Now Project Responds To President Trump’s 2020 Election Claims
Daniella Ballou-Aares, CEO of Leadership Now Project — a nonpartisan group of more than 400 business leaders — issued the following statement in response to President Donald Trump’s remarks on the 2020 election.
“Tonight’s address by President Trump does not change the facts: the 2020 election was free, fair, and accessible. The results were audited, litigated, and certified by officials from both parties. President Trump’s own head of cybersecurity called the election the ‘most secure in American history’ and the U.S. intelligence community concluded that no foreign actor altered the election results.
“Our members — business leaders across the country — know that respecting election results irrespective of who prevails is foundational to our nation’s economic and political stability. We have confidence in the election officials, courts, and public servants from both parties who have corroborated that there was no evidence of widespread fraud or tampering that could have changed the outcome.
“As we approach the 2026 elections, we encourage our peers in the business community to play their essential role in reinforcing that legitimacy. Americans need political leaders who are focused on solving the nation’s most pressing challenges — not undermining the rule of law.”
