Joe Neguse is a Democratic U.S. Representative serving Colorado's 2nd Congressional District since 2019 and the House Assistant Democratic Leader. The son of Eritrean refugees, he graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder and CU Law School, then became the youngest person to serve as a regent of the University of Colorado and served as executive director of the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies. In Congress he has focused on public lands and wildfire resilience, affordable housing, and climate policy, and served as an impeachment manager during President Trump's second impeachment trial.
