Ben McAdams is a Democratic former U.S. Representative from Utah's 4th Congressional District (2019–2021) and former Salt Lake County Mayor. A University of Utah graduate with a J.D. from Columbia Law School, he practiced corporate law at Dorsey and Whitney and served in the Utah State Senate before being elected mayor in 2012, where he focused on homelessness reduction and regional transportation. He won one of the narrowest House races in the country in 2018, serving on the Financial Services and Science committees before narrowly losing reelection in 2020, and remains active in Utah's centrist political community.
