JB Pritzker, Illinois

JB Pritzker is the 43rd Governor of Illinois, serving since 2019 and reelected in 2022. A Duke University and Northwestern Law graduate, he co-founded the Pritzker Group, a venture capital and private equity firm, and built a career as an entrepreneur and investor before entering politics. As governor he has signed a $45 billion infrastructure plan, expanded early childhood education, raised the minimum wage to $15, legalized recreational cannabis, and codified reproductive rights into state law, positioning Illinois as a policy counterweight to neighboring conservative states.
