Amy Klobuchar, Minnesota

Amy Klobuchar is a Democratic U.S. Senator from Minnesota since 2007 and a candidate for governor in 2026. A Yale University graduate with a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School, she practiced corporate law at Dorsey and Whitney and served as Hennepin County Attorney — the chief prosecutor for Minneapolis and its suburbs — for eight years before entering the Senate. She has been one of the most prolific lawmakers in Congress, with a focus on antitrust enforcement, agricultural policy, consumer protection, and broadband access, and ran for president in 2020 before endorsing Joe Biden.
