Sherrod Brown is a Democratic former U.S. Senator from Ohio who served from 2007 to 2025 and a candidate for governor in 2026. A Yale University graduate with a master's in Education and Public Administration from Ohio State, he served in the Ohio House and as Ohio Secretary of State before entering Congress, where he served seven terms in the U.S. House and three terms in the Senate. Known as one of the Senate's strongest voices on trade, labor, and manufacturing policy, he chaired the Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee and focused on protecting workers, expanding the Child Tax Credit, and combating unfair trade practices.
