Raised in Tucson by a nurse and a doctor, he graduated from Salpointe Catholic High School before earning a degree in Industrial Engineering and an MBA from Stanford University. He built a career spanning finance, life safety services, and education, most recently serving as Chairman and CEO of the Arizona College of Nursing, which he grew from a single campus into a national institution with 24 campuses across 14 states, and is running on a platform of modernizing the state's management of its $31 billion in assets and improving returns on Arizona's $8.7 billion education endowment fund.
