Elissa Slotkin, Michigan

Elissa Slotkin is a Democratic U.S. Senator from Michigan, elected in 2024 after serving three terms in the U.S. House. A Cornell University graduate with a master’s from Columbia University, she served three tours in Iraq as a CIA analyst and later held senior positions at the Pentagon and the National Security Council under both Presidents Bush and Obama. In the Senate she serves on the Armed Services and Homeland Security committees, focusing on national security, manufacturing competitiveness, prescription drug costs, and protecting Michigan’s auto industry.
