Kristen McDonald Rivet, Michigan

Kristen McDonald Rivet is a Democratic U.S. Representative serving Michigan’s 8th Congressional District since 2025. A University of Michigan graduate with a master’s in Public Policy from Georgetown, she served in the Michigan State Senate where she focused on education, workforce development, and clean water, and previously worked as a nonprofit executive at United Way of Bay County. In Congress she serves on the Armed Services and Education and Workforce committees, championing manufacturing jobs, veteran support, and economic opportunity for working families in mid-Michigan’s Tri-Cities region.
