Jim Himes, Connecticut

Jim Himes is a Democratic U.S. Representative serving Connecticut's 4th Congressional District since 2009 and the current Ranking Member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Born in Lima, Peru, he attended Harvard University on a scholarship and studied at Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar before spending over a decade at Goldman Sachs and then serving as vice president of enterprise business at a nonprofit affordable housing organization. In Congress he focuses on national security and intelligence oversight, gun violence prevention, financial regulation, and climate policy.
