John Rodgers is a Democratic member of the Vermont State Senate representing the Caledonia-Orange District since 2017 after serving 12 years in the Vermont House. A lifelong resident of the rural Northeast Kingdom, he works as a logger and has been one of the legislature's strongest voices for rural communities, Second Amendment rights, and working-class Vermonters. Known for his independent streak within the Democratic caucus, he has focused on forestry and natural resources policy, property tax relief, rural broadband, and ensuring that Vermont's progressive policies don't leave behind its rural population.
