A University of Pennsylvania graduate with a J.D. from Harvard Law School, he worked as a speechwriter for President Bill Clinton, a senior advisor at the Federal Communications Commission, and a general manager at Microsoft before entering politics. A co-chair of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus, he has focused on flood mitigation for his district's communities, lowering the cost of prescription drugs, defending the state and local tax (SALT) deduction, and building cross-party coalitions on infrastructure investment.
