Sharice Davids is a Democratic U.S. Representative serving Kansas' 3rd Congressional District since 2019, one of the first two Native American women elected to Congress. A member of the Ho-Chunk Nation, she earned her J.D. from Cornell Law School and worked as a community development lawyer and White House Fellow during the Obama administration before entering politics. She serves on the Transportation and Infrastructure and Small Business committees, and is a member of the New Democrat Coalition, focusing on infrastructure investment, small business support, and bipartisan economic policy in the Kansas City suburbs.
