Stefany Shaheen, New Hampshire

Stefany Shaheen is the Democratic nominee for New Hampshire's 1st Congressional District in 2026, running for the open seat being vacated by Rep. Chris Pappas. A lifelong Granite Stater and former Portsmouth city councilor, she co-founded Good Measures, a health technology company connecting people with chronic conditions to clinical and nutritional support, and currently serves as chief strategy officer at ARMI, a Manchester-based biotech initiative advancing regenerative medicine. Shaheen became a nationally recognized healthcare advocate after her daughter Elle was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, an experience that inspired her New York Times bestselling book "Elle & Coach." She also chaired the Portsmouth Police Commission and New Hampshire's Commission on the Status of Women. Her campaign centers on lowering healthcare costs, protecting medical research funding, and holding elected officials accountable through anti-corruption reforms.
