Suzan DelBene, Washington

Suzan DelBene is the Democratic U.S. Representative for Washington's 1st Congressional District, serving since 2012. She earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Reed College and an MBA from the University of Washington, then spent two decades as a technology entrepreneur and executive, including 12 years at Microsoft and leadership roles at drugstore.com and Nimble Technology, before serving as Director of the Washington State Department of Revenue. In Congress, she serves on the Ways and Means Committee, chairs the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee for the 2026 cycle, and has focused on data privacy, reproductive rights, and expanding the Child Tax Credit.
