Chris Coons, Delaware

Chris Coons is a Democratic U.S. Senator from Delaware, serving since 2010. A graduate of Amherst College with a J.D. from Yale Law School and a Master’s in Ethics from Yale Divinity School, he practiced corporate law and worked at the W.L. Gore company before serving as president of the New Castle County Council and then New Castle County Executive. In the Senate he is known as a leading voice on foreign policy, judicial nominations, and bipartisan dealmaking, and serves on the Appropriations, Foreign Relations, and Judiciary committees.
