Josh Harder, California

Josh Harder is a Democratic U.S. Representative serving California’s 9th Congressional District since 2019, covering San Joaquin County and parts of the Central Valley. A fifth-generation Central Valley native born in Turlock, he earned a B.A. from Stanford University and a joint MBA and Master of Public Policy from Harvard before working as an entrepreneur and venture capital investor. He serves on the Appropriations Committee and focuses on water protection, public safety, lowering the cost of gas and housing, and supporting Central Valley agriculture — and notably led the fight to block the Delta Tunnel project to protect the San Joaquin Valley ecosystem.
