Pia Dandiya, Florida

Pia Dandiya is the Democratic candidate for Florida's 22nd Congressional District in 2026, running for an open seat after winning her party's primary in August. Born and raised in Palm Beach County to parents who emigrated from India, she began her career as a classroom teacher in low-income schools before founding and leading a high school in Harlem, where every graduate earned college admission. She went on to serve as a White House Fellow at the Domestic Policy Council and the U.S. Department of Education, then led public-sector innovation work at Apple, partnering with state and local leaders to modernize education, health care, and government systems. Her campaign focuses on lowering housing and insurance costs for Florida families, strengthening public schools, and defending Social Security and Medicare.
