Sheldon Whitehouse is a Democratic U.S. Senator from Rhode Island, serving since 2007. A Yale University graduate with a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, he served as U.S. Attorney for Rhode Island and as the state's Attorney General before entering the Senate.
