Tim Kaine, Virginia

Tim Kaine is a Democratic U.S. Senator from Virginia, serving since 2013 and the 2016 Democratic vice presidential nominee alongside Hillary Clinton. A University of Missouri graduate with a J.D. from Harvard Law School, he worked as a civil rights attorney and served as Richmond's mayor, Virginia's Lieutenant Governor, and the 70th Governor of Virginia before entering the Senate. He serves on the Armed Services, Foreign Relations, Budget, and Health, Education, Labor and Pensions committees, focusing on military affairs, workforce development, immigration reform, and education policy.
