Wesley Bell is a Democratic U.S. Representative serving Missouri's 1st Congressional District since 2025. A Lincoln University graduate with a J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law, he worked as a public defender, municipal judge, and adjunct professor before being elected St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney in 2018, defeating a 28-year incumbent in the wake of the Ferguson protests. In Congress he serves on the Judiciary and Science, Space, and Technology committees, focusing on criminal justice reform, public safety, economic development, and police accountability.
